BYU Musicians' Institute
BYU Musicians' Institute is for elite musicians ages 14-18 who want to increase their talent by taking private lessons with members of BYU's acclaimed music faculty. This special addition to SummerFestival requires musicians to audition for acceptance into the program. Space is limited, so submit your audition as soon as possible.
BYU Musicians' Institute will be held Tuesday-Saturday immediately before BYU Musicians' SummerFestival begins.
The focus will be on chamber music and solo literature for winds, brass, and strings. There are also sections for jazz combos and improvisation.
We strongly encourage those who attend the Institute to also participate in the week long SummerFestival. Musicians will have the additional performance opportunties during SummerFestival, and those accepted into the Institute will receive a discounted price to participate in SummerFestival.
We look forward to you joining us in this new era of greater music making!
